»Between Conflict and Cooperation« »Organizing«, »Arguing«, »disputating« and »representing« are practices that are constitutive of early modern scholarly culture. In several case studies on different texts, genres and topics it is shown how the agonal and the cooperative permeate each other in the scholarly field from the 12th to the 17th century.
