»International Jurisdiction at the Place of the Event Giving Rise to the Damage - Perpetration of a Capital Market Offense by Several Tortfeasors«: In its much-criticized Melzer decision, the European Court of Justice ruled that in the case of the perpetration of an offense by several tortfeasors, each offender can be sued exclusively at the place of his own contribution to the offense, but not at the places of action of other tortfeasors. The study puts this point of view to the test and shows possibilities for an independent solution to the problem concerning tortious acts by multiple tortfeasors from the perspective of the law of international jurisdiction. The study reaches the conclusion that the independent ojectives of the law of jurisdiction require a solution that differentiates on the basis of the nature of the offense.
