He demonstrates that existing criminal provisions already apply, which in many cases provide protection for the ownership of cryptocurrencies. At the same time, he reveals significant gaps in criminal protection. Based on this, the author develops a legislative proposal that could address the new technological developments in the field of cryptocurrencies.
