»Bank Recovery and Resolution in Germany and the United States« The thesis demonstrates based on an economic analysis of the law why the German Insolvency Code (Insolvenzordnung) is currently not suitable for the resolution of banks and proposes changes to the Code. Furthermore, the thesis uses a comparative law approach to show strengths and weaknesses of the German special resolution regime for banks and develops proposals for the adjustment of the resolution regime to increase its efficiency and avoid further spending of taxpayers' money.
